Finished another painting

This is a copy of a Heade painting called A Magnolia on Red Velvet. I wanted to try doing a floral but keep it simple so chose this. It is oil on canvas and is 14 x11.

My 2nd still life is 20 x 24 oil on linen. I did the setup on glass so you see many reflections of the grapes and pear in the glass and on the mirrored surface of the candleholder.

My first oil painting ever using The Carder Method. I used some fabric I had laying around the house and soaked the label off the wine bottle. The pomegranate is an artificial one I picked up just because I liked the colors of it.

I have been working on getting this blog up and running. Finally put a link on The Carder Method forum to this so feel like I need to actually type something in!
